This spring, many new fashion trends are already apparent, especially in hair color. Hair trends are one of the most fun to stay up to date on. For girls, darker browns are becoming more popular although at this point in the year it is usually a time for lighter colors, or highlights.

“I just dyed my hair darker recently,” junior Aubrey Johnson said. “The color was called medium ash brown and I like how it turned out. I’ve dyed my hair multiple times and I think I like it dark the best.”

The popular dark hair color is noticeable.

“I’ve seen more girls dye their hair darker and next time I want to try another brunette color,” Johnson said. “I’d rather not go lighter again because that turned out bad last time, and I fully regret it.”

Additionally, adding in copper undertones is a great way to finish the look. That way, the transition isn’t as drastic, yet still will be noticeable. If you’re looking for a new style you should try a brunette shade as summer approaches, and see how it turns out.

Additionally, if you’re looking for something else you can try balayage. Instead of dyeing all of your hair at once, balayage typically consists of dyeing the ends of your hair lighter colors. It is more subtle and still changes things up. There are a variety of balayage tones you can apply to meet your needs. There isn’t much maintenance involved with balayage, and it works with all hair types.
